We are excited to invite educators to take part in a unique opportunity to explore advanced technical skills and training environments aligned with competitions. This two-day tour will provide insight into Automation, Mechatronics, Industry 4.0, and Renewable Technologies. Participants will gain valuable knowledge to enhance teaching, learning, and skills development within their own organisations.
The event will:
Showcase facilities equipped with Festo systems used in competitions
Provide hands-on demonstrations of equipment and technologies in action
Share practical insights for supporting learners in developing industry-standard skills
Feature talks from technical specialists and experts
Location: Various facilities throughout England provided by Didactic Services, starting in Festo Northampton.
Indicative schedule: The visit is planned for late January (provisionally 27–28 January or 28–29 January, to be confirmed).
This opportunity is open to two representatives per organisation.
Participants will need to travel the day before, and accommodation for the evenings will be covered by Inspiring Skills Excellence in Wales.
