The Inspiring Skills team is bringing FE tutors, work-based learning providers, competition coaches, and support staff together under one roof for a dedicated day on teaching excellence and vocational skills competitions.
Hosted at the newly refurbished Gorseinon campus of Gower College Swansea, the day features three practical, rotating workshop sessions designed to deliver immediate value for everyday teaching:
- Competition Coaching, Marking & Assessment: Breaks down competition requirements, scoring criteria, and coaching frameworks to provide clear guidance for staff preparing and supporting learners.
- Turning Competition Experience into Career Success: Highlights how learners benefit beyond the competition itself, showcasing real career pathways and experiences from former competitors.
- Inclusive Competitions & Additional Learning Needs (ALN): Delivers practical strategies, adaptive methods, and reasonable adjustments to help staff support learners with diverse ALN needs across all competition sectors.
