Join us for a free, one-hour online information session designed to introduce tutors, lecturers, training providers and employers to the Retrofit Competition 2026/27.
Whether you're completely new to Skills Competition Wales or have supported competitors previously, this session will provide an insight into what the competition involves and how your organisation can get involved.
We'll begin with an introduction to retrofit, exploring its importance and role in achieving net zero, before looking at the competition format, eligibility requirements and what competitors can expect on competition day. This will include a walkthrough of the competition tasks, challenges, expectations and assessment criteria.
A key highlight of the session will be a live VR demonstration, giving attendees the opportunity to explore one of the virtual properties used in the competition and see how the technology supports the competition experience.
We'll also share practical advice on preparing learners, incorporating competition activities into classroom teaching and accessing available resources and support. The session will conclude with information on registration and an opportunity to ask questions directly to the Competition Lead.
