Date: 12th February 2026
Time: 10-3
Delivered by Sau and Judith — both experienced Skills Competition judges and trainers — this session will provide valuable insight into the latest updates and expectations within the Health & Social Care competition.
Drawing on live judging experience from the Skills Competition Wales competition day, the session will explore key changes to competition structure, assessment expectations, and standards required for success.
This CPD session is running alongside the H&SC competition at Coleg Sir Gar on the 12th February, and it's a great opportunity to go beyond the line to view the scenarios of the competition in action.
You may be aware that the competition is organised as a carousel of activities, with competitors timetabled to attend particular activities throughout the day in a closed environment. This CPD gives you the opportunity to view these activities in action and is the only way you'll be able to get close up to gain a greater insight into the requirements and assessment of particular scenarios.
Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of the judging process, scoring approaches, and what learners must demonstrate to excel in a competitive environment.
This session is particularly valuable for tutors preparing learners for Health & Social Care competitions at regional and national level.
