Retrofit

In partnership with Metaverse the Retrofit Competition challenges learners to assess a property and propose cost-effective, energy-efficient upgrades. The competition consists of three key elements:

1. Virtual Assessment

Using a virtual platform, learners will explore a property to identify areas that could benefit from energy-efficient upgrades. While completing their assessment, they will select appropriate equipment and materials for installation and justify their choices in a justification table, explaining why each selection was made.

2. Budget and Pricing

Learners will use their justification table to price the selected equipment and materials from a provided catalogue, ensuring their recommendations align with the customer's budget.

3. Customer Presentation

Learners will present their recommendations to the customer (judges), explaining their choices and the expected benefits. Judges will ask questions to test their knowledge, reasoning, and understanding of retrofit solutions.
