Digital and IT teaching staff, who are preparing learners for cybersecurity competitions, are the target audience for this Continuing Professional Development (CPD) session. The session will focus on developing learner readiness and embedding competition activity into teaching practice, with reference to current frameworks and skill standards.
The session will:
Outline the core cybersecurity skills, tools, and approaches that underpin competition activity.
Provide guidance on aligning delivery with WorldSkills UK competition frameworks.
Explore how competition-based learning can support the development of technical and transferable skills.
Include practical activities on secure systems operation and maintenance (Enterprise Infrastructure Security).
This CPD is suitable for educators seeking to strengthen their understanding of competition requirements and to equip learners with the skills and confidence to engage successfully in this growing area.
