Date: 21st October 2025
Time: 10 - 3
This CPD session is designed to support educators in beauty therapy and practitioner disciplines, providing guidance on professional standards, practical techniques, and preparation for delivering high-quality teaching.
The session will combine discussion, demonstration, and hands-on practice. In the morning, attendees will focus on professional standards, including working area setup, therapist posture, and interpreting competition briefs. This will provide practical advice on the small but critical elements that can influence performance and assessment outcomes.
In the afternoon, the session will focus on practical skills and techniques, tailored to the needs of participants. Common areas covered include massage, waxing, and nail painting/cuticle techniques, with opportunities for demonstration, practice, and Q&A. Attendees can highlight specific areas they would like to focus on, ensuring the session meets their individual teaching needs.
Led by Hayley Huxtable, an experienced practitioner for Beauty Therapy with extensive experience in both salon practice and competition support, this session offers insight into best practices and effective strategies for developing learners’ skills and delivering high-quality instruction.
This CPD session is suitable for educators across Further Education and Work-Based Learning who are looking to expand their knowledge of beauty therapy and practitioner techniques and strengthen their teaching practice.
